Smoke filtering plants safe for parrots

I have a problem with smokers where I live. I’m finding that my garden, now that it’s grown in, is filtering some of the smoke that normally comes through my windows. Claire’s outside cage in is the garden and when she is in it, I struggle with protecting her from the smoke of neighbors. I’ve decided to add hanging fence pots to the outside of her cage and fill them with smoke filtering plants. I did a little research that I thought I’d share here:

  • Improving Air Quality
    • Spider Plant
    • Chinese Evergreen
    • Bamboo Palm
  • Filtering Benzene
    • Gerbera Daisies
  • Filtering Trichloroethelyne
    • Daisies
  • Filtering Carbon Monoxide
    • Chrysanthemums
  • Filtering Formaldehyde
    • Boston Fern
    • Palms (Date, Lady & Bamboo)
